Deborah Richardson – owner of Tin Teddy

I have been crafting for as long as I can remember. It has always been part of my everyday life. I doubt there have been many days where I have not done anything crafty.

My father organized regular craft shows in my home town so of course I was a regular with my little stalls, selling knitted and sewn items.

In the early 1990s I was a self-employed miniature teddy bear artist.  For a while I even held the world record for the smallest jointed bear!

Tin Teddy was born… in the virtual world of Second Life. In 2004 I began creating textures, plants, houses and other products for the residents of Second Life. Yes, I was earning a real-life living in a virtual world!

I still have the Tin Teddy shop in Second Life. My name there is Elgyfu Wishbringer.

Since 2012 I have been selling clipart and digital papers in my Tin Teddy shop on Etsy.  This was soon joined by a vintage Etsy shop, Antique Dog Prints.  And then, in November 2018, I added Tin Teddy Die Cuts to sell die cuts and embellishments.

Then, in March 2019, I opened this website, the Tin Teddy Shop as a standalone sales point for all my different craft-related products.  Here I can offer you more choice, better prices and exciting offers that were simply not possible before.

What will the future hold for Tin Teddy? I have lots planned, so keep checking back!
